Hello there! 
I am Mrs. Melissa Meidinger.
This is my nineth year teaching kindergarten in Frederick.

I live in Aberdeen with my husband, Jon, and my two children, Taryn and Mikah.  Jon works at HeadStart in Aberdeen.  Taryn is in seventh grade and Mikah is in third grade at the Frederick Area School.

Upon graduating Northern State University, I received a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Kindergarten.  My first experiences were in the Aberdeen School District as an assistant in the resource room for two years followed by three years as a reading interventionist working with students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  Then I spent two years teaching second grade in Roscoe at Edmunds Central, which led me to Frederick.  My first year here I taught sixth grade before moving down to kindergarten.

I grew up on a farm just outside the small town of Summit, South Dakota.  I really enjoy and feel at home teaching in the community of Frederick.
